RecStaff provides real time availability when assigning staff to a shift. We call it a staff pick list and it lets you know:

Employee availability preferences
Conflicts with other schedules in different departments
Credential issues (expired or close to)
Away on vacation/leave

As you create your shifts RecStaff will search everyone’s availability for that time frame. So you can feel confident staff are available to work their shifts!

It allows each department to have their own instance of RecStaff so you’re not constrained by how other departments manage their staff scheduling.

Shift Swapping

Shifts happen. They happen whether someone can work or not. That’s why RecStaff allows staff to post and pick up shifts with or without manager approval. Post a series of shifts like lesson sets for continuity of instructor and allow staff to find replacements for their shifts themselves. We have the most comprehensive shift swapping/splitting module on the market.

Generating Schedule Sessions

You can create a sessions worth of schedules and link those shifts together. You can also create lesson sets so that if you need to make a change to these recurring shifts you only have to make the change once.

Track Staff Credentials

RecStaff keeps track of staff credentials AND incorporates them into the schedules you build so you don’t have to worry about credentials when assigning staff to shifts. The AND part is where credentials really matter.

Time Off Requests

Because you have to manage your staff even when they want time off. Staff can request time off in RecStaff and you can either approve or reject it. Approval of a time off request will result in the change of availability when you’re scheduling your staff or reassigning shifts.
